God's Blessing

I was saving my money to buy new futsal shoes. I need one cause my football boots are spoiled so badly, and my tennis shoes are so bulky for futsal. Plus, I need a lighter shoes for floorball. So, I was saving my money...week by week, put it in my piggy bank(not really, it's just a box) and there I have it. Enough for me to spend.

But there was one Sunday in youth, when pastor Victor came to share. He shares about how we would give our all for God, and believe in Him. Pastor Victor also shared his experience when God asked him to stop taking allowances from the church and just trust in him, even though many bills are still left unpaid.

Guess what, a friend of his invited him for lunch and give him all the money Pastor Victor needs for his daily needs. The friends used his money that he saved for modelling courses and gave it all for the pastor, without any favours.

The story and his sharing really convicted me. I took up the altar call and he prayed for me.He told me that if God also wants us to have good things, but if he calls upon us to give our all, he will bless us even more.

I was somehow, at peace. Even though I may not have my boots, but, somehow I felt it doesn't really matter if God needs it.

But in the end, I did get my boots. Did God actually called me before I bought, but I did not listen? I was puzzled.

Turns out, this was indeed his blessing. When I told my mum that I want to buy a set of sports jersey with my own money. She paid the jersey for me, saying it is a Christmas gift.

I was shocked. Even though I could pay for it(and it was quite cheap really, around RM30+ for that standard), I was quite happy. Not only that, I even have new tennis shoes from my dad today! It was RM429 (phew!) but there's a 40% discount so it was around RM200.

All he ask was "Is it tight?" "Need a bigger size? That's all, no questions about "why I need it?" even though I can present my case as my old tennis shoes were 3 years old, and my brother has one already.

Well, for me, it was really a joyful week. And a lesson I learn is, if we are willing to give out our all when God calls us to, he will bless us one way or another. Sometimes by means we never expect.

AMEN! =)
